About Us

GOMA FOUNDATION NPC was founded by 3 young driven individuals who are not only passionate about giving back but making a difference to the less fortunate in South Africa. Through this foundation we are developing communities, empowering families for individual sustainability and development. We are currently investing in the communities of the Limpopo Province in South Africa from June 2016. We endeavour to ensure sustainability for each of our projects and work together with other local companies and organisations so that we can reach out and serve where possible.

Our Story

GOMA Foundation is the vision of Moshibudi Molepo, Charmaine Mphahlele and Malesela Letoala. Together established the Foundation as a registered NPC in 2016. GOMA Foundation aims to make a difference in the lives of young individuals in rural areas of South Africa. We are a South African-based non-profit company (NPC) developing communities through empowering families for individual sustainability and development.

The three young driven and ambitious aspiring Chartered Accountants are highly invested in this work and who provide critical input and resources that are vital to the success of the organization's vision.

Our projects

The projects we've worked on that we hold dear to our hearts.

Feature

Career guidance / Motivation talks

With the gap that we have identified in rural areas that many learners are not well aware of adverse career options and we aim to do whatever it takes to provide guidance.

Feature

Donate a Pair of School Shoes

Many kids in rural areas of Limpopo go to school without school shoes and we are doing whatever it takes to ensure that every child has a pair of school shoes. Goma donated school shoes and bag packs to the children of Rebone drop in centre in 2016 to help usher them into the new academic year.

Feature

Annual Christmas day celebration

Goma identifies communities in need and hosts a fun day for the children of that community. We then provide those children with presents based on the community’s needs. 2016 marked its first annual Christmas party held at Mentz (just outside turfloop) where we had a feast and played indigenous games and had an all-round of fun day with the Children of Rebone drop in centre.

Feature

Donate a Pad (DAP)

Donate a Pad (DAP) targeting young disadvantaged girls in rural areas. A project serving the girls who are in need of sanitary towels and cannot afford to buy them. We are of the theory that no girl should miss school because they cannot afford to buy sanitary towels. Goma has adopted two school, Ditsepu Secondary (Ga-Maja) as well as Ramathope Secondary (Nobody), where on a monthly basis we donate packets of pads to the girls of the schools. We aim to adopt more schools and communities this year.

Feature

Goma foundation NPC presents Mr & Miss Goma Foundation

We will host a pageant at a crèche, where our little ambassadors will be chosen. Goma will identify and visit a crèche in a rural area, were we will get to spend the day with the children (fun day) and have this function where the children can have a good time in the academic environment. Each child will receive a school bag, party packs and stationery to be donated to the crèche aiming to bring joy to the little ones in a learning environment.

More to come!
